The dodo is a birdlike creature found wandering around the map. They drop large eggs that you can pick up. This seem to eventually turn into more dodos, you can cook the food they drop and make the purple dye from 5 dodo feathers using a level 2 press.
You can kill a dodo to get 0-1 feathers and a piece of meat. If you kill a wood dodo, it drops wood, Stone dodo, dirt dodo, etc drop their respective blocks as well.
If you feed a dodo 3 apples, it will be tamed. If you want to edit the dodos name, tap on the dodo when you are not holding a dodo. You can also view health and hunger, and when hunger is low, just feed them another apple.
